Concordia's BIOFELT® is a proprietary needle punched non-woven felt scaffold material that is highly porous (>97%), soft and flexible, biocompatible and enables human cells to grow into its 3D interconnected pores so that new natural tissue can be formed to replace and/or repair damaged human tissues.
Pre-clinical applications of BIOFELT includes cardiovascular tissue regeneration for arteries and heart valves and orthopedic tissue regeneration of cartilage, and several clinical applications utilizing BIOFELT have been approved by the FDA in dental and urological surgery.
